| Term | What it means |
|---|---|
| App | A third-party tool connected to your company — Gmail, Stripe, Notion, and dozens more. See Connect your apps. |
| Approval | Your explicit yes on a publish: the review dialog describes one exact version, and only Approve and publish deploys it. |
| Automation | Work Skarmy does for you on a schedule. Reads your apps, never sends from them. See Automations. |
| Auto-reload | An optional switch that buys a small credit pack automatically when your balance runs low. On the Usage page. See Billing and top-ups. |
| Brief | The short description of what to build first that the coach hands to the Builder. You shape it in conversation, and never edit it directly. See Describe your idea. |
| Builder | The agent that writes your product. Lives in a workspace. See Work with the Builder. |
| Business plan | Your company’s one plan document, plan.md. Drafted once by Skarmy, then yours alone to edit. Grounds the daily tasks. See Your business plan. |
| Chats | The history of your conversations with the coach. |
| Coach | The chat that follows you through the app — sharpens ideas, runs errands, works your apps, and hands builds to the Builder. It never builds anything itself. |
| Company | The unit. Holds workspaces, tasks, inbox, apps, automations, the plan, and a dashboard. See Core concepts. |
| Company switcher | The control at the top of the sidebar that changes which company is active. |
| Credits | What building costs — one credit is a dollar of usage. Spent on the Builder’s work, the machine running your app, and publishing. See How credits work. |
| Daily allowance | Free credits that refill every day at midnight UTC and do not roll over. Spent before your monthly credits. |
| Department | How workspaces are grouped: Engineering, Design, Legal, Marketing, Hiring, Research, Finances. |
| Guest | Someone using Skarmy without an account. Guests can talk to the coach; opening the Builder and publishing require signing up, which keeps their work. |
| Handle | The part of your company’s email address before @mail.skarmy.ai. See Your company inbox. |
| Handoff | The moment the coach passes your idea to the Builder. Nothing is built until you accept it with Open Builder. |
| Home | The signed-in start page: the composer, the get-started checklist, and your Company Overview. |
| Inbox | Your company’s email — reading, writing, and approving what goes out. See Your company inbox. |
| Memory | What Skarmy remembers: facts you stated about yourself and your company, plus what it pieced together. Your words always win. See Your business plan. |
| Milestone | A completed unit of the Builder’s work, ending in a summary — publishing ships your last completed one. Your company also passes milestones: first build, first publish, and so on. |
| Monthly credits | Your paid plan’s allowance, refilling each billing cycle. Does not roll over. See Plans. |
| Monthly spend limit | A cap you set on the Usage page. Usage pauses for the month once spend reaches it. |
| Preview | The private, live copy of your app in the workspace. Reloads as the Builder works. Not the address you share. See Read the live preview. |
| Published site | Your workspace deployed to a public address at yourname.skarmy.ai. A snapshot — it changes only when you publish again. See Publish your site. |
| Reserved name | A site name that cannot be claimed, because it protects Skarmy’s own surfaces, mail routing, or trust. See Site addresses. |
| Session | One continuous working relationship with the Builder in a workspace. Survives closing the tab. See Session states. |
| Site name | The part of your public address before .skarmy.ai. Claimed once, on first publish. |
| Skill | One action inside a connected app, switchable on and off. See App permissions. |
| Sleeping | What the machine running your app does between turns, to stop idle time costing credits. Wakes in seconds. |
| Start fresh | Archives the current session and begins a new one on your next message. Cannot be undone; does not delete files or your published site. |
| Task | One concrete step for your company, suggested daily or written by you, worked on a board of To do, Doing, Done. See Daily tasks. |
| Top-up | Credits you buy at $1 each. Spent last, and they never expire. Sold in packs of 5, 10, 25, and 50. |
| Workspace | One thing your company is making, and the screen where you make it: conversation on the left, preview on the right, Publish at the top. See Organise your workspaces. |
